Definitely here to defend Tomoe like have none of yous ever heard of open adoption?? You against it???? lmao. She clearly wasn't fit to be a mother and her pregnancy was an accident, sure it was reckless but it was an accident!! Anyway, the continuation of the species is important but more importantly her child was welcomed into a loving family and still had a strong and badass mother figure in her life. They're all cool.

This is just my opinion, but I think that Tomoe is definitely fit to be a good mother. I mean, sure, her pregnancy was an accident and stuff, but she clearly loved Ayu dearly. And the reason she left Ayu with Kazuma and Chiaki is because she trusts them that much; they are her closest family. It's been implied that she often visits, and that she keeps in touch all the time. Her job is simply not one where she can lug a kid around. She herself seemed really sad about leaving Ayu behind. And in the first chapter, Kazuma and Chiaki themselves said that Tomoe was a good mother (or something along those lines)

I see where you’re coming from! I should clarify that I think she’s a good mother in how she’s nurturing and caring and loves her child, but as you said her job isn’t one where she can lug her kid around. I did say she wasn’t “fit” to be a mother, but more so I meant that she just needed live out her dreams (her job) before she was /ready/ to settle to fully raise her child and that’s why I wanted to defend her ^o^
