My mom was very soft-spoken (she's a single parent, and were Asian). She never slapped me or hit me, in fact if ever we have an arguement, she's always the first one to cry and apologize-- even if I'm at fault, it makes me feel 9000× bad so I make it that I don't argue with her. It usually never happens though. I loved and was proud of my mom, still am.
Perhaps that's why this relationship YuYang has with his family really makes me sad, 'cuz it might be stereotypical and a lot experience this... I can't imagine my mom treating me as such-- I'd probably have already killed myself in all honesty. （/TДT)/
