A the start i was thinking “aw, this is cute but sad. Good start off chapter, I can hold out another week for more story.”
Then at that last page I just about tossed my iPad across the room. The author really likes messing with us.
And even when having the “cute/sad” feelings i had a random thought “I wonder if the assistant is up to something.” Then BAM!
