He does have a good personality on air. That's why so many of those assholes in the comments are acting like he owed them something beyond a couple of hours of boyfriend role play. He puts on a good act at school and for his show, good enough that even the hint of a life outside of it has caused him to lose viewers.

I'm grateful for the translations because we've fallen behind, but sometimes they miss tiny nuances that change the context. Like in the latest chapter we thought Jiwon said "It's not like I can't live without sex" but really he was saying "It's not like I can't live without *him*". So it's possible DG was just talking about how whenever Alex returns he'll be number one again because he's special on air. But in truth DG liked Jiwon's personality, the real one anyway. He only got small glimpses of it but it was still there.

When i don't get a phrase, I try to make a free translation based on the context. That's why it ain't always accurate. But don't forget that the translations in mangago aren't very accurate either. They miss a little from the authenticity of the original Korean text

It's not a dig at you and your translations so don't take it personally. That's why I responded to the other comment. I was saying that it's possible the "good personality" DG was talking about was in context IF he's talking about Alex as a broadcaster. That was my point, not that your translations are trash. Context always gets a little lost when moving from one language to another, and you said yourself that you're still working at getting better, so making snap judgements about what the characters say before we even get both translations to compare probably isn't helpful.

Also the translations on Mangago are actually translations from Lezhin, not a scanlator working for free, so I don't know how accurate that statement is about it not being as accurate as possible. It seems the company has a dedicated and paid English translation section and that who ever is uploading them here is paying for that translation like I do.

Yes they are pretty accurate but when a text is being translated into another language it is s sure that something of its originality will be lost, you can't help that!
Anyway (づ￣ ³￣)づ. My aim is that you just get a clear picture of what is happening in every chapter. Korean is so hard to learn ugh.

Oh trust me I understand. It's actually pretty fascinating just how much can get lost because of cultural divides and the way they affect language. You see that for example when people translate Hebrew to English for the Bible and stuff. The translator always has to make a choice so there's no such thing as a truly objective translation, I agree.

You do a great job so please don't take it like I was criticizing your work. I know Korean is super hard to learn, and I also appreciate you summarizing what's going on for those of us feening for new chapters now that we're 2 behind. I do still pay for them when they come out, I can't resist checking in here each week now that I've caught up. My comment was strictly in regards to the comment scoffing at Alex having a good personality according to DG. I even get that because we all know Jiwon can be a bastard, but i figured I'd just drop a line to say we might get a better idea when the official chapter is out, and then cited an example for why I thought that.
