I'm glad you are able to realize that in real life it would be an issue. Personally speaking I would also call the police in real life if I ever saw a man 25 dating a 17 year old. Though you might have not seen it as problematic because you deemed yourself mature at 17 that doesn't negotiate that there was an actual problem with the age gap. I feel like in you not wanting to date a 15 year speaks volumes to me personally. You can enjoy the story and also realize the damaging and problematic themes within it. And you might see it as a problematic but it is regardless of how mature the children seems to be. Would you feel fine reading a story of a 6 year old getting into a relationship with a 20 year old if the author were to portray the 6 year old as a mature child? I wouldn't think so.
I agree with you I the sense that this story only works in fiction because it's fake. A mature teenager would understand the problem and dangers of being with a 27 year old contrary to what the story portrays.
an adult having a romantic relationship with a minor is p*dophilia or at the very least predatory when will y'all accept that. positions truly do not matter, so don't start with "but the younger one is the top" ty.
