Help finding this yaoi.

I read it last year, and I remember that the uke and seme were childhood friends. I think it was set during WW1 or WW2. The uke was half-japanese and because of that he was bullied a lot by other kids. The seme was the only one kind to him. They reunite in highschool and at some point there is an attack near the place where the seme was living with his family. The uke looks for the seme, but doesn't find him. As a result, he thinks the seme probably died, but he keeps looking for him. Years later he comes across a hint and finds out that the seme was well and alive and the two of them admit their feelings for each other. Idk if this was helpful or just confusing.
