from wat my understanding is, mc was surprised, he didn't expect seungtaek, who in seunghee's perspective seemed like a diligent grade a student who didn't really seem to express himself much, act the way he did (all blushy and flustered uWu) with kyubin. for seunghee, kyubin might have looked like he doesn't put much thought into was he does, so that must have surprised him when it looked like their attraction was actually mutual.
You know when Seunghee told that perv admirer about his side regarding Seungtaek and Kyubin's deal, there was this one line that made me think that Seunghee might have almost started having feelings for Seungtaek. I mean, of course, what he said about feeling envious of how Lucky these two boys are for finding one another when it's usually not easy for them to meet other people is probably true, and not a lie or an excuse coming from him. But when he said "Why did it have to be Seugtaek of all people?!" Really had me taken aback. Like, whoa. What's that supposed to mean?
And then it was interesting how shocked Seunghee was to see Seungtaek's blushing expression like he was punched in the gut or slapped on the face at first? He calmed down later on and was calm and analytical afterwards when remembering that scene, but man. Seungtaek's face really made him lose composure for a moment there.
I'm not shipping Seunghee and Seungtaek though. I just pointed these things out because.... Seunghee maybe kinda perhaps almost liked Seungtaek, and Seughee's an MC, so -- I kinda feel bad for him. I kinda feel bad for the main couple too (or more like frustrated BECAUSE THEY JUST WON'T COMMUNICATE efficiently. Like your feelings are mutual dammit! Figure things out ASAP before more chaos happens!) But I mostly feel pity? Sympathy? For MC.
