about the whole rape being accepted in yaoi

before any of this I wanna make it VERY clear I do not think rape is ok in any way WHATSOEVER I'm just saying that:
1- ya'll need to remember THESE ARE DRAWN FICTIONAL CHARACTERS
2-to me rape is determined by the receiver's feelings and state of mind about it, (some people even have an actual fetish about getting raped it's a thing google it, is it still rape? to a normal person's eyes yeah it is but the victim doesn't care and in the end their feelings about it are the MOST important because in the end it is their body and mind)
3- why do some people read the tag "rape" then read the manga and continue to complain about it?
4- there's THOUSANDS of rape like scenarios in porn videos out there no one is batting an eye and that's funny cause I feel like these are the root of the problem
5- ya'll read shit like killing stalking which is about murder and are not only ok with it but enjoy it; why? because in the end lets be honest we're all kind of a little morbid inside

What in the actual fuck are you talking about? Rape definition: "unlawful sexual activity and usually sexual intercourse carried out forcibly or under threat of injury against the will usually of a female or with a person who is beneath a certain age or incapable of valid consent"

The receivers "state of mind about it" point is moot becuz, they don't get to determine what their feelings are about it at the time of being FORCED to have sex against their will.

name ONE time people have actually though about that EXACT definition when thinking or talking about rape, they way we generally see it or view it or think about it is "sex without consent" u can't bring things like age into this argument because in this case they're both guys and the same age at this point what matters is consent have u any idea how many young girls/sometimes boys have sex with adults and no one ever finds out because they actually in fact GAVE CONSENT but NEVER told anyone about it, what I mean by state of mind is in most cases in yaoi (then again THIS IS FICTIONAL AND TALKING ABOUT YAOI MANGA SPECIFICALLY) the rape victim clearly isn't affected enough to stop themselves from falling for the seme what I mean the worst part of rape IN MY OPINION is what it does to the victim's psych all the trauma but that clearly never happens in yaoi AGAIN THIS FUCKING FICTIONAL when did I say I approved of rape? all I said was what I feel constitutes to as "rape" not the "official legal definition"

ME, in the previous comment. Because this is a tired ass trope and I get tired of people making up facts to legitimize why one character raped someone and why you should be onboard with it. No matter how stupid their antidote is. Which is why I quoted that particular section of your comment.

No fucking shit it's fictional, and at no point did I negate that. That doesn't mean that as a yaoi fanatic that you have to be on board with every subgenre and trope JUST BECAUSE ITS YAOI! I guess I should just like ToddlerCorn and shotacon by that logic?

"should just like toddlecorn and shotacon by that reason" No, not dude really... that's not how it works ( ̄へ ̄)if you don't like and don't approve just don't read it that's why there's a tag sistem "you don't have to be on board with every genre" "because this is a tired ass trope and I get tired of people making up facts to legitimize why one character raped someone and why you should be on board with it" NO ONE SAID U SHOULD, if u don't approve Which literally COMPLETELY understandable because u are pretty much RIGHT that's fine don't read it but u realize this is a problem you'd have to take to the author right?? no one reading this manga in their right mind will be ok with rape or being raped specially since 98% of users here are women

No Shit. Im not negating that. You should read whatever you fancy and at no point did I state otherwise. The dont like, dont read excuse is tired too, though. You dont know what you like UNTIL you read it.Youre allowed to discover what your tastes are in certain genres and you do that by reading different stories, by different mangaka, with different plots etc. For ex., I love the Viewfinder series, but I dont really care for Okane Na Gai. Both stories have the main uke repeatedly raped and kidnapped, but I enjoy the VF characters and the way their relationship progresses. The other, I could care less if the main uke lives or dies. I came to that preference through reading. So because I don't like how that particular couple story progresses, I shouldn't read anything else with any of the same elements?

true but I felt like the way you applied it sounded like how they're always trying to make the guy who raped the uke into a good person and that what he's done is and will never be forgiven and could never become a better person even if he truly tried
as for the never know what u read until u try is in fact TRUE but I also feel like that's what the tags are for
sometime ago I read this manga called "sweet heart trigger" and the uke I swear to god must have some personality disorder and he's self esteem is below the earth's very core and he's a little obsessive to the point he pointed a gun at the seme however I was surprised there wasn't a psychological tag.... so I put one on it usually because rape isn't a positive thing and the people are sensitive about it the tag is placed
also I feel like this might be me and pardon me if I'm being rude but I feel like your replies are a little aggressive? sometimes I come off standoffish in text so I blame my bitchy under tones if I made myself seem as if I was picking on u or made it seem like I wanted to fight that's not the case (●'◡'●)ノ you seem cool actually, like a lawyer
(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ I just like venting and argumenting ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ btw u should read sweet heart trigger and tell me what u think about it I liked it but not that much tbh ( ̄へ ̄)
I wanna share opinions because I swear I feel like the only one who feels this way about it
