A sentient warthog with a club foot and six little hoglets could do better than him. Damn! I'm on the other side against my own gender in most of fiction as well as in real life. Why the hell is at least 50 percent of my gender so unlikable and stupid when it comes to women. And why the @#$& do women go for these flaming twerps who only think of women as a life support system for huge breasts and other "plumbing?" It's driven me nuts for years, and no, I'm not jealous as I've been happily married for nearly forty years to a great woman who I like, love, and respect.
It was an okay read. I do like the idea of friends become lovers. But this story, no. Gabe wasn't likable or someone I would root for. Good thing that he has really friends or he miss the chance. But then again, Charlotte's love for Gabe felt bit unnatural. She can do better than him.
