At first , we thought it was all ghosts n shit. But in the recent chapters . We realize d we wet getting the Mcs point of view. And this whole "JIHYE is in this dude's body and can talk to me" was just a delusion by the main character. And some dude named Josephine realized he was talking to somebody who was on the ground passed out drunk and was like wtf and told the blonde haired dude. That's why the blonde haired dude got mad, I guess he forgot this dude was MENTAL. And lashed out on him
I have just a few questions after reading this whole thing. First, I'm just wondering, is there some sort of supernatural element to this story? I mean is this Jihye ghost thing real or just a delusion created by Hyunwoo's mind because he can't get over her death? At first I thought it was a delusion (which is an amazing way to highlight the sadness and denial Hyunwoo is going through after the trauma of seeing his girlfriend getting killed). There are many cases of people seeing their dead loved ones, even having tactile sensations of them (i.e. feeling as though that person touched them, even though none of it is real). But then the whole doctor thing happened with Jihye talking to that doctor and I just got confused. I prefer if the story did not become this supernatural thing and stuck to illustrating the trauma and the mental illness Hyunwoo is suffering from.
My other question is regarding Jimin. Is Jimin a cross-dresser or a trans-woman? I mean does he identify as a woman, or does he see himself as a guy who likes to wear women clothing? Because the first is a case of gender identity, the second is just a hobby. Or is Jimin simply a gay man who thinks that men can't be together, so he prefers if he were a women so that he can be with the man he likes? I'm not sure if I missed something but I feel like this issue was not cleared out.
Aside from these concerns, I find the story to be bloody amazing. And all of the characters have deep issues! Even Jimin's best friend is an obsessive stalker-ish kind of guy (I mean if I found out my friend has a room filled with pictures of me and a life-sized pillow with my face on it, I'll definitely think its abnormal and be scared out of my mind). His redeeming quality is that so far he did not act on these obsessive attributes or try to hurt Jimin, however that does not mean he's all good. I'm waiting for him to snap. But then, on the other hand we have Hyunwoo who is is so mentally ill that he sees and hears and feels his girlfriend constantly, and is willing to get a person drunk so that his 'dead' girlfriend can take over their body and be with them (and from the last chapter we realize that all of this is happening in his head as well and none of it is true). He's so far gone that he can't tell reality from illusion anymore and it's so heartbreaking that he needs psychiatric help. And now that he's losing his mother, he's all alone. i can't help but feel so heartbroken for him, but also mad at him for daring to use Jimin like that. Then there is this Josephine character that I don't care much about, but who also seems to be this creepy possessive kind of guy and I'm scared that he will try to hurt Jimin so that he can have Daniel. Then we have Hyunwoo's mother who is feeling like shit for unintentionally killing her son's girlfriend and feels like the reason his life is ruined and we see how she is trying her best to help him move on, and I honestly feel terrible for her the most. I can't imagine being in her shoes at all. And finally there is Jimin who is an absolute angel and the only normal kind understanding and forgiving person in all of this crazy situation. He's just perfect and I'm so upset that he is surrounded by people who either use him, like Hyunwoo, or are obsessed with him like Daniel, or that hate him for living the way he wants (like his father and his classmates). I just want a happy ending for him and it hurts me to think how heartbroken he will be when he figures out that Hyunwoo, the guy he loves, was just using him. Aside from those main characters, there is this doctor that looks like Daniel but somehow is not related to him (?) but can talk to Jihye's ghost (?). I mean so far he is just confusing me so I have no opinion about him. We'll see in the next chapter if this gets cleared up.
Arghh this story is tugging on my heartstrings. I can't wait to read more. Sorry for the long rant lol
