Same thing happens to me too since some of the updates takes really long. What i do is write something about the story in "my tags'' once the chapter is over so that the next time it updates you' d get a hint of what the story is really about. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ idk if this is gona help

Make a short note on your COMMENT, not tag. It's very useful when you have read many manga, especially the ones took a long time to update once.
I always end up having to reread the previous chapters before reading the new update of a manga because I've forgotten everything about it. So if I just filtered out my BL to only include completed works it would save me time right? But then I would also miss out on some really good series with amazing cliff hangers? Quantity of time or quality of experience? ╮(￣▽￣)╭
