It depends on my mood. There are some days I want to read graphic sex, but other days I’m ok with a hot kissing scene. Both have its merits.
I prefer yaoi.

I feel like its mostly yaoi who tend to have more adult-like-themes, like psychological or just dark-ish themes, so I mostly go for yaoi. Not that there isnt any shounen ai with those kind of themes. If there is, do tell me!

Shounen Ai. Love is more important is stories I enjoy reading.
Shounen ai, the storylines tend to be way better and that's what I prefer over hot scenes. I actually only read shounen ai (and sometimes yaoi) because if there's going to be romance in a story, it HAS TO BE BL(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Shounen ai. Because i love slow burn but sometimes it can be a bit frustrating too (〜￣△￣)〜
