I like that train of thought. Clearly, Bum is obsessive enough to stalk and take bs from his tormentor. And he still stays around Sangwoo. Getting revenge to the people (kid) who made him lost the pole in the first place seems plausible to me. Or maybe he saw the way Sangwoo looks at the mother that's why he did that. I wanna knoooowww
He gets annoyed and envious when his "favourite person" Sangwoo is giving others attention, but I don't think either him or Sangwoo had anything to do with the woman and her son ending up injured. The theory in the comments is that the sacked police officer is trying to frame Sangwoo so has used it as a trap. I think it also could be used as a plot device to show how Sangwoo reacted to his mother's death, and we might get to see flashbacks of this from Sangwoo's perspective.
I dunno. I wouldn't put it past him because he's pretty crazy. And I wouldn't say he's dumb either. I think he's actually very intelligent. He's scared and has completely given himself to Sangwoo, like in most abusive relationships.
