So I think I'm disappointed in this story. Poor Yeshen with a jerk like Xiangyao. OBVIOUSLY Yeshen knows that his feelings aren't returned so 'just' making that clear is a dick move on Xiangyao's part. And having sex while knowing his feelings is also a dick move. But your post makes it sound like he should be praised for being a dick. I don't know if that's what the story leads you to believe but it probably is and that's why I'm disappointed in this story. Plus there only seems to be two people who seem to be after Yeshen compared to the multitude after Xiangyao. T.
Nono what's happening now is that (at least what the author explicitly states) xy just realised ys has feelings for him, cos when they were in hs ys told xy that he likes someone else. So since xy realises this, he wants to put an end to their fwb rs cos he doesn't want to lead ys on, it's not that xy was having sex w ys while knowing his feelings. So idk if you're misunderstanding things cosi said make things clear but i actl meant he wants to stop being fkbuddies to not lead ys on

he has to stop being fuck bodies with the uke. If not he would only give yeshen false hope which would make the uke feel worse (than he already is). You can‘t date someone or give them false hope just because you feel sorry them and/or don‘t want to hurt his feeling. THIS would be a dick move.
But i can’t disagree with you about the disappointment in this manhua tho because this yaoi looks kinda predictable...and the uke seems really weak which i personally hate...

The 2 mcs are fwbs and met in high school. They grew really close and even attended the same uni course. Xiangyao(seme) has always liked his distant cousin tho his whole family dislikes him due to some family drama, while yeshen(uke) started to have feelings for seme just before uni started :( they've been maintaining this kind of rs all these years (they're 25 now) but recently xiangyao starts to realise yeshen has feelings for him but he himself sees yeshen as a good friend), so he steels himself to make thinhs clear to yeshen and wants to stop being fkbuddies. Tho xiangyao still rly cares for yeshen and is quite protective of him. Also yeshen's superioir and a mutual friend of the 2mcs currently like yeshen (raws stop here). Anw their relationship is pretty cute and pure(?) they are basically v close and care a lot about each other and banter a lot haha im curious to see if xiangyao will end up developing feelings for yeshen but even if he does it probably wont happen soon given xy still holds a candle for his distant cousin and too many ppl lile yeshen lol
