Well I think sangwoo knows something we don't, could be that the detective is watching them soo he is pretending that they are an actuall couple that go out to do things together, but it's just to throw the detective off track, maybe it was even the detective that stole sangwoos snowboard to anger him and see if he could get a reaction out of sangwoo. Maybe I'm totally wrong

clearly his mother was also abusive, her abuse was mental rather than physical. She clearly messed with Sangwoo's mind because she wanted him to want/need her like she wanted/needed him and so part of himself is struggling with that part of his mom (the one that was warped and manipulated to be in a strange dependency issue filled relationship) and the other hates her for the abuse and the uncomfortable feelings she made him feel. Thats pretty common

lol my point was that knowing their dynamic is enough. One is currently an abuser and MURDERER and one is a victim of abuse. (sangwoo may have been abused once too but that is not an excuse for what he became and currently is) Like...my point is just that its crazy to me that all of that was so easily blown off by readers that later they're surprised and like "oh shit, ya he's rly bad huh.."
I forgot what Sangwooo did earlier in the story to Bum and kept questioning why something felt off or bugged me. So I clicked a random early chapter, chapter 4 and saw the scene of him hitting Bum because of a plate Bum dropped. I was like damnnnnn shit woah this guy was physically abusive as fuck I forgot, and kept Bum hostage in his house. Lmaoooo this shit is wild.
