Oh thank you very much! I was just confused and needed an answer to this. I'm a panromamtic asexual, which is a bit of a confusing thing, but I can understand your issues. You don't this its bad you just see other peoples opinion and think 'Is this alright?' but yaoi is not homophobic, they probably think that the clichés in yaoi are making it seem like all gay people are the same. So don't think bad of it, although yes sometimes I think that when for example the rape in yaoi is always the same because the uke ends up liking the seme for no reason or just because 'he forced me but I liked it.' Don't think too hard about other people opinions if you like it, they just need to learn how to now read clichés. Sorry for the long text (￣∇￣")

Hello hello fellow fujoshis and fudanshis. I was just wondering if y'all can help me with this. Lately I've been seeing a lot of things about Yaoi, and how people have been saying that yaoi is homophobic and that it dehumanises gay people. I know that I am not homophobic as I support LGBT because I may apart of it. But it does bring me to think that is Yaoi that bad? I mean I've seen things in Yaoi where they normalise rape and how we fetishise gay people. I feel bad about it, because I know that i do not fetishise gay people, nor am I homophobic. I don't know I'm just really confused. Is Yaoi really a bad thing.
