By western standard, yeah. But in Asia, parents mostly right, because the culture is parents really want their children to excel in the study.

Yeah, I've heard about it, but I still think that's not the way to raise children. Kids raised like this have a high chance of ending up with a lot of issues with their mental health as they grow older, it pisses me off that the parents and the teachers believe there's nothing wrong with that.
I was rereading this and it's really fucking cute, but man, that teacher is awful, she shouldn't be allowed to teach, honestly. She just believed his father without even hearing about his situation and when the whole gay rumor started, instead of being guide for the troubled and confused teenagers like a teacher should be, she just changes their seats, clearly showing her position in the situation and sending a horrible message to everyone in that class. The true hero is Yu Yang (love Here U Are btw), I was like "PREACH, MY BOY" when he said those things on the rooftop (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
