I understand where you are coming from, as it hasn't really seemed as though their idea of "love" is sincere. Jiwon, rushing into this new relationship to "heal" his past trauma with the ex, doesn't seem fair on DG. He needs to show that he actually loves Dong-gyun and isn't just accepting hm because he confessed. DG too seems more in 'love" with his idea of who Jiwon or 'Alex" is, idolising him rather than trying to understand the real Jiwon who has nightmares and doesn't even tell his friends where he lives due to being so self defensive because of his bad ex. Hopefully the next raw chapter will show them carrying on their conversation, progressing from the usual 'I love you" to something more authentic.
I agree with you. I honestly don't believe that DG loves him, maybe just like him. They should really use this time to talk. I would like to believe that what Mingwa has planned instead of the typical ignore the seme or make the seme jealous route. I feel it would be too easy. They shouldn't just rush into a relationship, but get to know each other instead.
i don't think DG loves him though, he's just a fanboy, still having a romantycized vision of Alex. They have to talk ang get to know eachother for real. Still, are we supposed to feel bad for Alex being cheated on? I mean, it sucks, but that doesn't make you a rapist asshole. I don't like him at all.
That's definitely true, but I can definitely see at least hints of attraction, just like with Jiwon. They shouldn't just pursue a relationship when neither of them really love each other all that much.
I can see both of them displaying hints of affection, but neither of them are really quite to the point of loving each other for who they are. I want them both to talk and actually get to know each other.
I honestly want them to stop their sexual relationship for now because I want them to develop more as a couple/ as characters.
I'm so fihrigurt because I want them to be together but not yet. I just want some actual development rather than this flatline of sex and jealousy that neither of them understand.
THIS IS SO TRUE AND EXACTLY WHAT I WANT! I just want something refreshing. Communication, getting to know each other. I don't want a "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" kind of thing. I want them to talk and learn about each other so they can become a proper couple. I want them to actually love each other.
We all know there's going to be a scene after they become partners where they are out walking in public, Jiwon does something mundane like hold DG's hand, then the panel becomes red coloured, as DG gets all flustered and over reacts rather than just smile or something and carry on with their day. So, you want him to be an asshole forever? Who said that its going to be a redemption arc? That would be a terrible story if Jiwon's personality stayed the same throughout this webtoon. That would be lazy writing and people would complain. It's obvious that he's going to change, the webtoon is named after him.
Indeed, he's reflected and the turn around has been fairly quick. Ignoring DG for what a few days, big deal really. They aren't even friends. This is why the next raw chapters having a conversation and making that emotional connection (for both characters) will be more important in terms of plot progression.
Hear me out on this, I hope DG says he doesn't love Jiwon (even though he does). It isn't because I don't ship them, in fact, I adore them and wish them happiness. But I don't want Jiwon rushing into this relationship just based on the fact DG has been good to him. I want Jiwon to truly love DG. Jiwon has shown hints that he has some sort of attraction to DG, but I want him to fully understand his feelings before pursuing DG.
I believe the reason why DG will say he doesn't love Jiwon is because of their deal when they started their sexual relationship. DG isn't allowed to fall in love with Jiwon or else it's over, and DG probably wants to stay with Jiwon as long as he can.
I don't want DG to just easily give in to Jiwon just because Jiwon is finally coming around. I want Jiwon to actually pursue DG and show he loves him. I don't want this to be like the trope where DG completely leaves and cuts himself out of Jiwon's life, that isn't what I want at all. I want them to stay together but I want Jiwon to start treating DG like he really loves him and cares for him before they even get CLOSE to having a romantic relationship.
That's all I have to say about it. This is simply my opinion and you don't need to agree, it's okay to have differing opinions.
