In my head, one day Shiki's keeper will die. He is a yakuza and they have wars among themselves, so it's possible. Once his keeper is dead, Shiki will take whatever is precious to him (e.g. the drawing) and will search for Haruna. But the apartment is already empty, because Haruno got his first foot into the art community with the piece he drew of Shiki and all pieces that follow are inspired by Harunas feelings for Shiki - and he establishes himself as artist. So years have passed and Shiki sees an articel about the artist that Haruna has become and he goes to the gallery that hosts Harunas pictures. They meet and they are still in love. They come together and live together, Haruna a little to obsessiv keeps Shiki again a lot at home, but Shiki doesn't mind. Because through Harunas drawings their love turns eternal.
