Yeah. That was why the issue back then was ??? to me. Since it's pretty much a yaoi/slash norm... It's either rape, non-con, or dubcon...
Not that I condone rape in any way. But I can compartmentalize it when reading a story and wait for how the story will tackle it before I let the story go. .. So... Yeah.
There's always the option for the readers to skip the chapters for them if they don't like it, after all.
The rape wasn't in the Manga tho, It's in the novel, but fans did hate it tho

So the current scanlation group is bringing up Chiaki and Hatori chapters now... I am quite surprised. LOL.
I remember that they used to exclude them here, due to the rape in the beginning in their story...
Though tbh, despite them beginning that way, the only couple with real consensual start was with Kisa and Yukina. Onodera and Takano started with dubious consent.
