The vampire has killed more people though, and unlike with Seolwoo, there is a sexual element to his crime. Have people forgotten everything that occurred in the first couple of chapters? The devil was going to be another of the vampires victims, but he ended up drinking his packet of blood so he couldn't kill him.

Yes. but the detective is taking it a bit too far as the vampire genuinely had nothing to do with the murders this time and yet he was trying to blame it on him...

Indeed, but it doesn't mean the vampire is innocent. The reason why the vampire gets away with murder, is that after he kills his victims the bodies turn to dust. The detective from his perspective, thinks he has found the murder suspect, as he think pink haired man is rightly a vampre, the murder case was known as being vampire murders (or something to that extent) in the media. He doesn't want to accept that his Seolwoo is a crimina, just as most people in the comments don't want to accept that both the vampire and devil are criminals too.

Right, maybe they are criminals, but it's not like they have a choice. If they don't eat they will die. The fact that they take pleasure in it is irrelevant. Don't tell me you never in your life ate meat. You must have did it at least once. And for this meat an animal died. You can say it is not the same thing. True, human don't need eat to survive, we can live eating just vegetables. But most of us chose not to. And it is fine. So yeah, the vampire and the devil have to eat humans in order to survise, but the white hair guy doesn't. He wants to kill people and take pleasure in it.

Just to say, that without the addition of Seolwoo & Detective, the plot line would be majorly "smut". That might be some people's cup if tea, but personally I think it would be a bit boring. Yes at the end of the day we are talking about characters who commit crimes, but their backstory and codependent relationship added a bit of depth, as to what otherwise is quite a predictable story.

Erm, I think you have misread the posts. I said that Seolwoo and the detective's backstory and codependent relationship added interest to the plot.

Well I mean no offense anyway, just saying if you don't like the story and all, there are others with more interesting plots.

I guess it comes off that you aren't understanding their relationship if you are dismissing Seolwoo as just being a "sex buddy". The detective has a far stronger relationship than that, which is why he is motivated to attack the vampire and can't accept his precious llttle Seolwoo is a big bad serial killer. Seolwoo too him is someone he feels protective over, Seolwoo calls the detective the "light" in his "darkness", and the detective is thanked by Seolwoo for killing his abusive dad. Their relationship has spanned years from the detective saving Seolwoo after the dad killed the mum, to him being a care figure throughout his teenage years, and now they are partners. I guess their relationships offers more from readers point of view, but maybe that's just my preference.

You are right on that part. Da detective and the killer does have strong connection. I mean as the person who killed the killer's father, you'll really be shit, guilty and pity to the killer that's been abused by the father. Yeah, the killer felt thankful but it's clearly depicted that he can never be at the same spot as the detective as again, he been shit by his father and all, that's why he wants the detective to go after him and all, a total phycho which isn't knew because of his past. But here's my point, you say that thing is interesting? Can't you read more of that same scenario at other manga? Like yeah, there's many of that. Quite 'predictable' too.
Anyway, better appreciate the whole story because damn, this is webtoon.
