    Because the mother rather have everybody killed by her daughter than have her daughter arrested. Clearly she doesn't care for other people life/safety as long as her daughter is okay.

    Yeah~ the author also wanted us (through Ishikawa) to see that human nature wasn’t binary or black/white or good/evil like Ishikawa thought. Victims can become perpetrators and vice versa. Humans are inherently multidimensional and that’s what threw Ishikawa off. Mirei’s mother, (not defending her actions here, just attempting to explain) did what she thought was right, protecting her daughter, even if it meant sacrificing other people’s lives~ There’s no right or wrong, even if we think what we are doing is “right,” because each one of us has our own definition of right vs wrong and what motivates/drives our actions~

    P.S. I’m in <3 with this manga ^w^;;

    Well, I think that the mother knows what she did is wrong but at the end of the day, her daughter is the most important to her therefore she prioritize her above anything else.

    P/S: you should watch the JP drama. Quite a good adaptation. Though they seem to follow their own story (the cases in the drama are different with cases in the manga).

    Interesting~ where can I find this drama? And yeah, I agree with you on the mother, that’s why this manga is cool...it gets you thinking about different perspectives.

    Essentially, while he was still internally debating wether he was hallucinating or actually talking to ghosts, he was thrown off by the unforseen fact, that ghosts would and could LIE...just as it was a tough nut to communicate with someone who soaked his brain with drugs.
