He's been gold digging since the beginning of the manga, even before he met Dojin. Read the very start where he goes to that classy place with the hopes of landing a rich omega.

Why do you have so many downvotes? You're probably right with Hyesung acting this way.
Everybody hating on the uke doesn't realise that he probably doesn't even care about the money that much. It's all just a coping mechanism to him, to try and convince himself that he's only doing this almost as a job, so he can be disconnected from Dojin and the baby. Since he was mistreated by his dad in the past, he obviously has issues when it comes to love, especially now that he's supposed to give birth to a child he just doesn't know what to make of it and would rather distance himself, this is also why he threw away the baby shoes. He can't be happy about the shoes, or any other reminders of the fact that this is going to be a living, breathing human being, cause he would maybe get attached to it and it would be harder to say goodbye. And of course he can't see himself raising it together with Dojin yet, it's not like they're even together.
