Except the only way that couldn't work is if he's trying to claim the guy broke IN from the outside. He could have broken OUT when he realized he had just killed someone and panicked because he was only there to rob them but killed someone, instead. T.
Why did he knock the window in from the inside!? Perfect crime my ass, how could you forget a detail like that?
