that’s probably true, but i think he is also doing it so heesu doesnt force seungwon to ‘make a move’ on her and so instead their relationship can move further if chanyoung goes out with jiyu!

My gut tells me that Chanyoung likes Jiyu, that's why he wants to help Seungwon so he could get close to her.
