They just like the "mouth to mouth" action.
The mouth to mouth thing is easier (=・ω・=) I've tried cpr before on a dummy thing, it's difficult and takes a lot of effort. Plus it creates a awkward and heated mood(they're kissing, need to see some action) (づ￣ ³￣)づ Also it's ANIME LOGICCCCC!!!!(or would it be manga logic?)
I don't get why no manga I've read so far ever shows proper CPR. None! It just irritates me to death! You put your ear near the person's mouth, listening for breathing and looking for a rise in the chest. If there is neither after 10 seconds, you start 2-inch-deep compressions in the middle of the chest to the beat of staying alive. If you're trained and have the proper mask to avoid pathogens, you can give two breaths after every 30 compressions.
