Spoiler alert!! remember in manhua ch 23, when wwx plays the calming tune to clam wen ning down? thats the tune lwj only played for wwx and no one else in his entire life. obviously wwx remembers the tune but forgot where it came from. that's how lwj recognized wwx. it was in the novel towards the end

In novel we still didn't get answer (at least till chapter 52), LWJ always give short reply when WWX asked him and keep saying WWX told himself that night when he caught him on buda mountain but never said how? And always blame WWX bad memory about forgetting everything.

In the flashback it looks LWJ played that tune to WWX when he is alive and wounded and it was something special for WWX. So only two of them knew that tune?
