Basically his everyday life, small tasks he usually makes, stuff he sees, etc. If he doesn’t write those down he’ll forget about them. He has alzheimer I believe.
Yeah basically it's all shown in english.. But the part that makes the guy Chae Rok get all gloomy and shocked was in korean (not translated on purpose for a surprise reveal next week, probably O_o).
