For me reading/seeing something drawn is totally different from the reality. For example I always react to yaoi manga but I don‘t react to gay porn or kissing gay couples on the street. That are two different things for me.

I kinda doubt it. I mean, becoming bi, ok you were just discovering sth you didn't know about in addition to your already existing likes but becoming gay.... if you thought you were straight? There's sth very weird there xD I think you'd either have to be asexual af and also very not self aware or unconsciously repressing your natural homosexuality cause you were raised to think it's bad. Either way it seems rather unlikely to me
