Me too! I love them! If it is a cliche, he might be covering up. I don't think he has told Onoe a 100% lie up until now. Perhaps he did lie every now and then, but not 100%, so it might not be impossible that he is, in actually, just a man in love.

I get the feeling that Inami-san isn’t really innocent but not really bad either.. he might have been really taken with Onoe’s cute & honest personality that’s why Inami-San got troubled when onoe says & thinks he’s an honest man. Also I don’t think inami-san really investigated onoe & kabu’s relationship, he just happened to hear it [refer to chap16, when they’ve just started investigating, last part]
Anyway, yeah, it’s endearing that kabu would drop the case just for onoe’s sake.. (▰˘◡˘▰)
I'm really loving how the prideful Kaburagi completely drops the whole investigation when Onoe was in danger. Daym boi.
And no hate but I love Inami so much. I kinda don't want him to be the bad guy like maybe he's just covering up for someone else (maybe that guy he said he loves) idk. I just find calculating characters so cool
