yes, that was harsh and random calling his bf that. I just wanna put down my own opinion. Ugly people do exist, they're just ignored. Why does ugly have to be a bad thing? it's sad this is what we've come to :(

it's a part of the Korean culture, watch any kdrama or reality show they call each other ugly all the time
i think he just wanted to convince himself that he has nothing to worry about so called his lover ugly but he clearly loves his lover and people call eachother ugly as a joke a lot
