I'm more fed up with this type of plot. Maybe it works better in Japan though. The whole arranged marriage meetings, and the two M.C's not just telling their parents, friends etc that they are a couple, they live together and plan to get married etc like it's no big deal but instead the hide their relationship and don't even offer each other any security in terms of calling each other partners etc is tedious to read and doesn't really come off as believable in this day and age. But then again, maybe things are culturally different in Japan and such behaviour and arranged marriages aren't so alien?
Arranged marriage is extremely common in Asia, more so than non, tho nowadays love marriages are becoming more and more common but arranged marriages still occur
Also when you talk about the hiding their relationship, you realize homosexuality still isn't widely accepted in Asian society right? Like same sex marriage isn't even legal in Japan yet, you're reading yaoi, gays in asia - context.
it annoys me more that he did that while they're in such a vague relationship. Eveb if they're officially together it's still bad but in such a vague relationship, he has less reasons to do that.
