Hysong Is Getting On My Nerve

Hysong (the recessive Omega) has every right to be upset, angry, and resentful towards Do Jin (the dominant Alpha). However, does he have to interpret almost everything Do Jin does as "using him" or something? And don't get me started in what happens in chapters 19 to 22... Like I seriously do respect you, Hysong. You have been through so much suffering because of your family environment and society, but sometimes you down right unreasonable.

He isn't the most likeable character, and behaves like a right brat at times, but if you look at things from his perspective he must be extremely frustrated at being an omega, and now having to be dependent on Dojin. Him having a tantum on the floor of the doctors office, or the latest raw chapter which shows Dojin present him a bouquet of flowers, with a gift bag that has a little box with baby shoes in it, to which Hye-sung threw on the floor was a bit immature and doesn't solve anything.

Dojin due to his status likely thinks buying things is a means to show love and to also get what you want. As well as buying Hye-sung expensive gifts like Chanel clothes, and Vivienne Westwood orb stud earrings in order to bribe him not to leave him or terminate the pregnancy, he is also looking at more sentimental things like going into a kids clothing store, looking at the "girl" and "boy" outfits, and buying their future child a wee pair of booties. In the real world such a gesture would generally be seen as sweet, but given the context of their relationship, you can see why Hye-sung didn't think that way.

You have a point there. Even though Hysong can be well more than simply a "brat" at times he has been and is going through a lot. If I grew up in an emotionally abusive household, was originally a recessive an Alpha, but became a recessive Omega only recently, then got pregnant (even if it was my own heat's fault); I would be frustrated too. Big time.

You're genuinely the only person in this comment section i've seen who I can give my upmost respect to. The only thing I don't agree with is your claim that Hyesung raped Dojin, but that's okay, because I can still respect your opinion. I think it's so easy to point fingers to flawed characters especially the ukes simply because they're not doing their traditional submissive role and letting themselves get fucked instead of stepping up for themselves. Just like you say, I think the readers should try to be empathetic and see it from Hyesung's point of view or else there wouldn't be so many toxic conversations.

He never raped him, but his actions, although motivated by his "heat" could be regarded as sexual assault.

It does appear though that Hye-sung has little control over his behaviour when he is in his heat, and although his actions could be regarded as assault, such as when he gave Dojin a blow job without consent, throughout this Dojin always remained in physical control over Hye-sung, telling him quickly what to do after he sussed out the situation. Whereas what Dojin did in the last instance was rape, and was motivated by the intent of "tyeing Hye-sung down to him" due to Hye-siung apparently being his creative muse.
