I'm saying that because usually in these types of stories once best friends find out that the person is gay, they'd be totally grossed out about it and end up hurting the other drastically.
Chanyoung here doesn't know how to deal with his best friend liking him, and he didn't like Heesu being so clingy all the time.

I've seen much worse characters hurting their friends in much worse ways. To me, Heesu looks just fine and now would finally find someone that actually likes him back, which I'm sure Chanyoung wants.

I see that you are talking about those crappy friends who hurt their gay friends and also too harshly that they end up being a nightmare for them.. I never read those stories where these two end up together.. I prefer the one who suffered should move on with another person or even alone but happy...MOreover You are seeing one side of the coin... Okay got it . He was immature.. What about when he became older and mature? Did he do it then?? NAAH...A simple direct conversation/confrontation would have done better than pretending not knowing about his sexulty.. That is true, but he might also take into consideration that MAYBE Heesu didn't want to confess. Maybe Canyoung thinks he'd make things more awkward/uncomfortable than they already are for Heesu.
I'm sure he'd reject him politely (hopefully) once/if Heesu confesses.
He could just choose to be quiet, because Heesu is as well.
And about the girlfriend thing, he was probably thinking that it would make Heesu move on from him, to find a better love interest.
I do not think that Chanyoung wishes to hurt Heesu, since he's Heesus best friend, he probably thinks hes doing what's best for himself and Heesu.

Heesu was initially being clingy because he didn't reject him. It's kinda like other people saying that Chanyoung didn't reject him because he didn't confess. But judging one on one standard and someone else on another is hypocritical. Especially when you take into account the fact that not confessing and how he is now acting more distantly towards Chanyoung means that not only did Chanyoung not need to pull this sh!t in the first place but that the arguments put forth by those who defend Chanyoung are entirely moot. No one is saying he WANTS to hurt Heesu. What we are saying is that his methods can potentially hurt Heesu the MOST. And he selfishly ignores that.

Maybe if Chanyoung would confront him about it, he'd be forcing Heesu to confess even tho he wouldn't be ready yet.
