I don't think they did, because the childhood friend came and said he wasn't giving up and she was fine as long as she was with the childhood friend and at the end the childhood friend says "don't touch her!" and the model says "she wasn't feeling well!" acknowledging that he shouldn't be touching her and implying the model and her aren't together or he would have said something like "I can touch what's mine!"
