I understand what people don’t like about Hyesung, but I don’t really get why everyone’s ganging up on him. Sure he’s bratty, but we also know he’s really insecure. We haven’t seen much of his relationship with his father, but it seems like his father was abusive and made Hyesung believe he can’t do anything right, that nothing about him was good. The sense I got from that was that being an alpha was the only thing that made Hyesung feel powerful, or at least not useless... and when it turned out he wasn’t an alpha, that was torn all away from him. He lost his job, too, and would have to live a different life. We know he’s good at math, but his low self-esteem prevents him from seeing that or believing in himself. Now, he’s happy to reunite with an old sort-of friend, who turns out to have the same issue as him (being declared the wrong typing) and is a perfectly normal guy who wants to live with him. I don’t think it’s wrong of him to want to live with him over an alpha he barely knows, especially since said alpha won’t let him leave and is controlling over him. Hyesung is painfully naïve, but the world of being an omega is completely foreign to him. His pride of being an alpha honestly seemed like it defined him - so he doesn’t really know the dangers of being an omega. That’s the sense I got, I guess. I really like Hyesung and want the best for him. I’m pretty sure many of the things people dislike about him stem from his low self-confidence, his pride of being an alpha being stripped away from him, and his naïvety about the omega world that he’s barely even considered before. I might be reading into the text too much tho. I also just like a feisty, angry uke. It’s better than a passive, boring one imho (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
