For what I know, the so-called studies trying to prove that there was a part of genetic causing homosexuality were conducted by homosexual themselves and were only scientific by its name.
I keep my opinion secret because I'm not able to translate scientific speech in english.
I always thought it mostly depends on the environment what kind of character traits you have, but then I recently read a book that said one's personality is about 50% determined by the genes (not really sure how that works lol but it's true that e.g. men with multiple y chromosomes are more likely to show aggressive behaviour) ... so it might be partially due to genes? Not in an obvious way though. I heard that homosexuality could be due to some conflict with the parents during early childhood, I think it was if the conflict was between the child and the parent of the opposite gender. Not sure though xD as for bi people... I think the environment is a major factor, especially so if it's bicuriosity. I'm bicurious (but I'm kinda asexual too so I wonder if sth will ever happen :,D) and I think if I had grown up in a more homophobic and conservative environment, I'd just be straight
i think both have influence on a person, but on young minds the environment is more powerful and with age you can choose.
i think its a mixture of both, ive seen/known gays to be raised in both homophobic and openminded environments and since homosexuality has existed since the dawn of time i really doubt its 100% reliant on one’s surroundings, but theres still a chance the way a persons raised could affect them
Nope, it’s genetics. Environmental factors may allow people to discover their sexuality without judgment or any societal taboos, or stay in the metaphorical closet for all their lives, but in the end it’s all about genetics

How do you think that happens?
I mean, does it have to do with how the child develops through the years, with the enviroment and all the external influences, or is it in the child's nature from the very beginning? So even if the child is raised to be heterosexual, as an adult he will always be gay no matter what?
I know this may sound ignorant or judgemental, but I am just very curious and I don't mean to offend anyone
