Lovin the struggle

I love when it’s not easy, when they have to sort through actual problems and there’s mental growth shown throughout the story - too many of these mangas are silly and have superficial problems and that’s why this one is particularly refreshing and a good read

This^ and now that the problems have been dealt with, there is room for a rewarding happy ending. All thats left is for them to be happy now that they both suffered.

I have to agree. This is how you write characters and plot that actually let these characters develop. They're troubled individuals haunted by their past. They feel like real people. Although this is a work of fiction, things like child abuse and trauma depicted here happen in real life, which is pretty rare in this genre. This may resonate with a lot of people out there.
