I know, right? I've had one too; grilled squid with peanut butter. It's an unorthodox combination but it doesn't taste so bad.
peanut butter (or peanut sauce) actually a pretty good marinade sauce for food grill stuff. Look up satay. Delicious umami-ness (if there is a word for it).
I had peanut butter squid before and it was good, so i dont know why does the manga gave it such a bad impression
