She's revealed the feelings of love she had for Ren which she had kept locked up so tightly until then. She's decided to use what she sees as the ugly emotion of jealousy to improve on her acting. She's confronted her mother in order to give up on giving up on wanting her mother's love, AS SHE HERSELF SAID. And everything has been and will be obviously intertwined with her acting and Ren. Just as the secrets she's discovered about her father are going to be intertwined with her acting in future. The very REASON after all that she twitches when she hears Kimi's manager mention the romance incident with Ren is because of the development that Nakamura sensei laid out for us. I don't know why you missed such obvious points. Including the fact that she will slowly come to the realization that Ren CAN and DOES love her. And when she does, like she did for her mother, she will stop wanting to give up on giving up on him loving her. Foreshadowing, GOOGLE it. Ktbn.
