Deadass, im glad it didn't but there's a part in me that wants the caretaker to be A LITTLE seflish (with consent of course), but even then. The child cyborg doesnt know what consent is, nor does it understand to not like something. However im glad hbe knows that he definitley likes his caretaker

Actually, I am glad that there is no smut because the plot line is in a very delicate balance already, and the mangaka is probably dead-set in making a pure, fluffy manga in a middle of a dark setting. It's very challenging and she was able to do that. I'm not surprised that this has became a sensation in japan. it deserved it's fame.
I am pretty sure "the list of great BL mangas" is not its official translation. It is a Japanese ranking. Sure, I can post the link. But you mind it is in Chinese? You can look at the cover of each manga though. They are all pretty good mangas

It's ok, thank you very much! :3 I asked just because I myself found once a good ranking list too, so I was wondering. (the one I found is this https://www.ebookjapan.jp/ebj/special/st/best-bl.asp) Anyway thanks for answering :) (sorry for bad English <(_ _)> )
I did not want to read this manga. But I have always been hesitant about if I am gonna read it. The setting is just too sad for me, it is not like I can't take it, but I really feel devastated by my own sympathy and sentiment when reading a story with dark setting like this.
But I saw this mange was rated high in a Japanese list of great BL mangas. Mangas on that list are of pretty high quality, so I may read this someday when I am ready to be depressed.
