I think they focus on the ordinary ones on the group rather than the most unique ones
They have other potentials but they don't show it ,

I think they deserve the fame tbh, yes they're a tad bit overrated but they worked for it. Clearly, ya girl is biased but--

I think they are getting the proper recognition for the hard work, both for music and performance wise. Now, why they became such a phenomena in the States and from there in basically the entire world, it's hard to explain, as it's hard to explain why certain fashion trends become a thing ahah it really depends on the audience/public most of it too. Something won't become successful if people ain't attracted to it

I don't know about BTS being overrated but that's our own opinion that everyone holds,but if you're not into that kind of music than I don't see the point on your friend forcing you, I think that if you and your friend dont have respect and a balance of understanding then that's that. nobody has to force each other really ╮(￣▽￣)╭ sorry mayby not the best opinion I'm new at this..

I used to really like twenty one pilots. But when many people on the internet, and people I know, started to listen to them only when heatens came out - I felt as if they took something from me. I get your point, almost everyone knows who BTS are. But they worked very hard to get this admiration. And you can see it when they perform and make interaction with the ARMY. I am an ARMY too, not because they are famous, but for their passion and love.
I admit I a fan for just 2 years, but it's worth it.
Also, it's not just your ordinary KPOP BOY BAND, they made a new definition of music, something worth living for.
But this is my opinion, you don't have to agree.

recently i've heard in tv a rap song called 'do you' by rap monster. i like rap and i very like this guy:). i've got to know that he is in bts, but don't hate me- i prefer his solo songs :).

*sadly he doesn't have any recent songs

for me, i'd just put on a meh attitude and would humor my friend every now and then but i would not want to be force fed with something im not really into it everytime.
i do listen to kpop but mostly only by yg artists.

I don't know if you know already but, namjoon (rm), released a single last spring? i think called Change and also did a collab w FOB. If you haven't already you should check them out they're bops.
