You have to either mark the manga as "now reading" or "already read". On the manga's page, there should be three buttons under the cover picture: "want to read", "now reading", or "already read". The last 2 will send you a message in your notifications when a new chapter is released. Your notifications can be reached by clicking the volume-looking button on the top right of the website. When you have a message or notification, a little red "1" will appear on that button. You can view all the manga you want to read, are currently reading, and already read in your home page.
