I'm ashamed that as a fellow asexual you could come in here and claim to be as oppressed as the rest of the lgbt community. Asexuals have NOT and NEVER been systematically oppressed by the government and its laws. Are the stigmas about asexuality that suck? Hell yes. It sucks that society tells asexuals that they are broken because they don't want sex. It sucks that we don't really have a place in the lgbt or cis community. BUT that does not mean that we are as oppressed as gays, lesbians, or bisexuals. Our struggles are not the same or equal.

I'm pretty sure I'm asexual (still figuring it out) but I don't agree with you at all, gays and bisexuals are literally killed in other countries where as asexuals are told, at worst, "you'll grow out of it" ect. Anyway, what story would there even be to tell about asexuals? Stories about gays and bisexuals usually deal with the social backlash of it but asexuals don't really have that, plus, even if you do make a story where the character is asexual, what difference would it make? If it's a romance/adventure/slice of life/ect, I don't think asexuality would be anything more than a piece of trivia, an asexual romance story would just be a fluffy romance story, asexuality wouldn't even play much of a part in it. By the way, the pushy partner thing could also be applied to a person who isn't ready yet, once again, not really a problem exclusive to asexuals.
Tl;dr
You can't really make a story where the main focus is being asexual, it hasn't got enough stuff to make it interesting, you can make a character asexual but it'd most likely be just a piece of trivia.
