hi guys! English is not my native language, so there is many things that I don't really understand, but... Why when someone speaks about an other person, sometimes he uses "them", even if is talking about one person? (don't know if i am clear...for exemple, when someone says "I like them" but he only loves one person) Is it because he doesn't want people to know if is talking about a girl or a boy? exemple : http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/kimi_to_no_dogfight/uu/kimi_to_no_dogfight-chapter-5
In this case, the person he's talking about probably doesn't know that the person in question is a guy. Also in the Japanese they're probably saying "you like *that person*"
