yeah, I think it was just poor writing on that front. Nobody would be as in love as he's shown to be and then....be able to just go 7 years without any contact with this person they're still deeply in love with. Theres just lots of plot holes
I wouldn't blame ishizaki for lying to one u love to make sure he succeeds in his future...and ishizaki was a teenager so all the more for him to act without thinking all the way through....but to not visit ,ashima once in 7 years? There is no excuse for that.....and he only returned because had no choice.....
