Your not alone. I actually lube snakes to the point that when I'm in a zoo I spend 70% of my time with snakes.

I don't dislike them per se, but have no interest in them as pets. Lizards are cuter. I had an iguana as a kid that liked to snuggle.
When I read lube all I could think is that they shouldn't allow you near their snakes. lol

I hate them, when I was kid, I used to live in Middle East, as you know there are deserts and lots of them with beautiful colors in different sizes and I can say all of them were dangerous. One summer for holiday we went to my grandparents farm, there was one black and brown and they said it was around one and half meters. It was on a ruined wall, my uncle killed it with an iron rod and buried it. They said they had to find its mate and kill it too or it would have its revenge on us, but it wasn't found anywhere. I was not allowed to go to certain places in farm that were covered. That summer was my worst holiday as long as I can remember.

love them. One time found a baby one in my house. He was the size of one of those little plastic snakes you can buy in the store. And that's exactly what I thought he was when I saw him on top of my gym bag in the middle of the living room. Until I went to grab him and he moved (imagine my surprise...I thought my sis was trying to prank me). So I googled him (I ain't stupid), determined he was a black racer, caught him and released him in the back yard. I saw him again a while later when he was bigger, still hanging out back there.
I think snakes are adorable. Most of them....
