Why is almost everyone here into BL?

tfchanel? April 1, 2018 10:37 pm

i assume that most of you are fujoshi's but why is it like that every girl here likes yaoi and BL and nothing else? i mean there are other good manga or manhwa webtoons etc not saying that you should stop liking BL or that stuff// but not all stories need to have yaoi to make it good

Because once you find something better than everything else, are you really willing to go back that stuff? also, it's an addiction; hard to change.

This site just happens to promote BL more than any other genre, thus earning more fans of BL. Fujoshi, it seems, don't tend to stray far from the genre.

Not sure about other people but I usually buy physical copies of shounen mangas that are translated in my country. I'm reading mostly bl in this site bc we dont have any bl mangas in my country.
Maybe they just enjoy bl more compared to other genres, it's personal preference after all ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Ikr!! There are alot of really good shounen action and horror manga s that I love to death. But tbh this is a site focused mostly on Yuri and yaoi so

I'm a fujoshi who's suuuuuper into yaoi, but I also like a ton of other genres. Fantasy, shoujo, slice of life, Shounen, action, adventure, all sorts!

Though to be honest I've never met a fujoshi that reads ONLY yaoi manga.. But who knows they might exist, it's a big world out there.

I read shouen on another website, which primarly promotes eechi and non-bl stuff, which I hate. This is the ONLY website that i found promotes bl stuff, which is why I loved it. I was a hardcore shoujo reader back then (never again am i going there, it was repulsive now I look back on it) after reading so much yaoi, I just hate hetero stuff. Like there is too much hetero stuff in this world, the media, the ads, the tv dramas, the news, all the homphobic comments on YouTube also piss me off. I get sick of it and annoyed and the really sad thing is most gay men and women feel the same. So i kinda let go off anything hetero, I'm a hardcore fujoshi that loves the bond between two males and ships every boy in this world with another boy and every girl in this world with another girl.

But I do read haikyuu, ajin(plot is amaaaaazing) but whenver there is subtle hetero stuff in anything, I kinda have to skip through it. I honestly don't regret growing up like this with this mentality over the last few years (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ it makes me happy. Plus yaoi stories are the BOOOMB. No matter how cliche it is, it still surprises me and trust me I read a lot of yaoi

Like I watched the anime 91 days (reallllllly wanted it to be bl but it got bl vibes to it) but it was the first anime to just be about the main two male characters. The chemistry was fucking amazing that I just want t cry. But still even without romance, it was one of the greatest anime cause the plot,, my gwad.

Most of the time, anime always got a side character whose a girl and even though she doesn't do much. She somehow ends up with a main character cause all they have to do is have some banter here and there and boooom, chemistry is appeared? . Like naruto for example, Naruto did so much for Sasuke, heck the whole anime was about it and the chemistry was off the charts but still, he ended up with a girl when they only interacted for a bit? She was busy hiding the whole anime until the very last moment. I feel like they got together just cause fans shipped them and that that. I would have loved Naruto if there wasn't romance in there. Plot is freaking amazing and honestly if you can give me a webtoon with pure plot and no hetero at all. I would read it e.g ajin, haikyuu.

It cause of this heternomative society that everything has to be like this. Its like bromance can exist, but anything beyond that is forbidden, even if they happen to have the most amazing chemistry. The same with girls love. This is why I mostly read yaoi than any other genre. I feel like the plot is amazing, the characters are strong and independent, each fulfilling their role, the chemistry amazing, the atmosphere, the tension, the progression. I feel like everything is being fulfilled and you even get sex in yaoi as a reward.

All the anime I watch, the boys always do everything for each other (male x male bond is very different (which is why I love it) to female x male bond or female x female bond) and then somehow at the very end it turns into a sappy romance story.

E.g 91 days had no bl stuff (maybe vibes, if you check out its song opening by the original author, he shows some gl and bl on his MV (๑•ㅂ•)و✧) but no bl or romance, and it still ended perfectly.

Whereas terror no resonance had an amazing plot, where the boys did everything for each other but apparently there had to be a girl in there so that we can add the romance tag even tho she literally did nothing. I swear to god, she did nothing. But still instead of adding filer romance ep to the plot. Why not just let it go and make it pure plot.

I know my points are all messed up and not really clear, so I can't really put it across, I apologies . but this is how I really feel.

Yeah I know they do, I just said that the website promotes eechi and non-bl stuff. So I always come to this website to read yaoi, hence you don't have a lot of fujoshi that come to this website reading other genres, cause they are mostly here for yaoi.

idk i just got tired of reading manga where they treat women really badly (or sexualize under aged girls) You know what I mean, endless fan service and just pushing the cliche that women are weak and men are unga bunga strong

i know you can also find that in yaoi (ALOT) but i can argue with you that in comparison it is WAY LESS ...

as for me...im die hard into one piece so i guess it differs for each person lmao

Its all about preferences. There aree people who only like ecchi stories, others that only prefer shonen manga and a long etc...
But i can assure you there is not one person that only read BL/yaoi. The fact that we love yaoi doesnt mean we cant like anything else (As if we are gonna lose the opportunitty to ship b/b in other mangas just because they are not yaoi.Ha!) Jk. (?)
But now from my experience, I think that what non bl/yaoi readers doesnt understand is yaoi its not only a genre where boys fuck and thats it, yaoi it's a very rich world where you can find whatever you want, from mistery ,romance, drama, action, sports...
I've been a manga reader since my 6 and im on my 20s, I started reading yaoi at 19's and Ive never thought before that yaoi could be so wide and complex universe and I love it.
We DO read a lot of genres, not only yaoi but we LOVE yaoi the most. Deal with it ┑( ̄v ̄)┍

    :-P April 2, 2018 12:30 am

Well that's like saying to the person who read only not BL horror manga ( as an example) and they hate BL and GL . "But why won't you read yuri and Yaoi, there are so many good manga of that genres. Why are you fixed to only one genre"
Shut up, and let people read and love what they want, and you read whatever you want

Btw, mangago its a website that promotes yaoi/yuri the most (because they do offer more genres) unlike other sites that prefer to promote more popular mangas, like boruto, one piece and the ones likes.
Asking here, were it's like a yaoi paradise why we "only"read yaoi it's like to ask in a coffee shop why people "only drink coffee.

DUDE SAME, i started read manga since i was 10, only started reading yaoi when I was 17, I'm 19 now and the world is so goddamn vast in yaoi, freaking love it (i've read a lot btw). I never knew it will be like this as a non-bl reader before. It makes me so happy!!!!!

AND yes, just watch the anime hunter x hunter. There is no romance, and there is bl vibes (bordering on shouen ai) and honestly you cant help shipping the boys together (gon x killua) (illumi x killua) (gon x hisoka (my fave)), cause chemistry is off the charts. Plus the plot is amazing, the mangaka is a genius.

Same with gintama, you cant help ship the b x b (gintoki x hijikata (๑•ㅂ•)و✧) Male bonding and relationships are just amazing, I wish I was a boy. ╥﹏╥

BUT ABOVE ALL, YAOI IS LIFE. I can't help prefer it over everything.

I use this site to read yaoi while I record any non-BL manga in another site.

I feel like I enjoy yaoi and shoujo mangas equally, but yaoi is what I end up reading the most honestly because it's not as complicated. Many shoujo mangas I've read are just very long winded; I already know that the two MCs will end up together, it's a shoujo manga after all, but I have to go through 100+ chapters of misunderstandings, unnecessary rivals, new love interests, and just waiting and waiting for them to finally get together at the very end. So basically I just read yaoi because I'm impatient and yaoi tends to be shorter haha ( ̄∇ ̄")
