I agree with everything except the part about Yeonduk's mother. To her, Skyler and Yeonduk should be like brothers and brothers watch out for one another. I don't think anything she asked him to do was outside the bounds of what a normal older sibling would be expected to do. I think Yeonduk's mom gets a lot of hate for being a loving but naive mother. It seems that now that Skyler's mother has openly admitted to using her and her son, she's seriously rethinking her whole relationship with her friend.

I do agree with this, but still, it took a very long time for her to rethink the whole relationship. She is a wonderful mom that cares about her son, her friend and her friend's son, but we can all agree that being that naive also caused bad things to happen to her own child.
a horrible mother-in-law that shitted on her daughter-in-law and grandchild, a mom that blamed her son for everything bad that happened to her; a ganancious false friend (at least on the very first time), Yeonduk's mom too, that let her son go as a servant for most part of his life. And I thought the dad was innocent but not even that... I hope everyone gets a happy ending, this story literally screams "don't judge the book by its cover".
