Where did you get that idea from? I don't see hints of that anywhere in the story. To me it just seems like a golddigger climbing her way up the social ladder then wondering why nothing turns out right.
It's more like a forced divorce actually
With golddigger, you mean Skyler's mom... right?
Yeah, it started like that... But somewhere along the way, these two fell for each other. I mean, it seems Yeonduk chose the same high school as Skyler all on his own, as his mom doesn't seem to be too happy about it.
Perhaps he took it that way... But it'd be a bit weird if Yeonduk's mom had "expected" him to choose that one high school which was so infamous and below average, right? Any parent would want their kid to attend a good high school sooner than a crappy one. I'd have to re-read that, but couldn't she have only been expressing her witsful thinking outloud about the two kids being in the same high school, but not necessarily in *that* awful school? Maybe what she actually wished for was for Skyler to follow Yeonduk (to a good school) and not the other way around... But like I said, I'd have to check that.
Lol, either about Yeonduk and Skyler, or about Skyler's parents, right? But Skyler's mom seems too obsessed with her husband so I didn't think theirs could've begun purely as a "loveless" arranged marriage... but, what do I know... ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
Ah, we weren't that off the mark, then? ...That's good? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I'd bet everyone agrees on at least that, if anything else.
So, this is like an forced arranged marriage, basically. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
